CARICOM Boost

The CARICOM Boost: Women and Youth in Agriculture Project is a strategic regional initiative designed to strengthen food security, enhance climate resilience, and empower women and young people within the agri-food sector across CARICOM Member States. Implemented by the CARICOM Secretariat with the support of the Government of New Zealand, the project responds directly to the increasing climate-related pressures facing the Region’s agricultural systems.

CARICOM Cyber Resilience Strategy 2030 Project

CARICOM and USAID initiated the Cyber Resilience Strategy 2030 Project to bolster cybersecurity in the Region. Led by Cambridge Global Advisors, the project is intended to enhance resilience against cyber threats through collaboration and strategic partnerships. The Secretariat chairs the Steering Committee and the meeting of National Focal Points which convened in December 2023 to provide an overview of the project, oversee project implementation and advance regional cybersecurity efforts.

The Caribbean Real-Time Food Security Monitoring Dashboard

The Caribbean Real-Time Food Security Monitoring Dashboard provides an overview of the Caribbean’s evolving food security situation in real time. Ten countries have been prioritized in the first phase: Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago. Data is collected on a daily basis, via call centres, interviewing 1,080 households every three months.

The Regional Universities Network

The Regional Universities Network is intended to function as a “network of excellence” for research and education on sustainable energy. The expectation is that the network will be multi-institutional, multi-sector (university, private and public sector) and multi-national, with focus on the enhancement of the knowledge and capacity that is required to support innovation within the sustainable energy and related sectors in CARICOM countries.

CARIFESTA - Caribbean Festival of Arts

The Caribbean Festival of Arts (CARIFESTA) is a roving multi-disciplinary art festival which has been held in various CARICOM countries since its establishment in 1972. It is  a regional forum where artists, performers and  other  persons in the  field of  culture meet and  exchange  ideas through presentations  of  music, dance, drama, exhibitions on art, sculpture, poetry and  symposia, among others.

CARICOM Youth Ambassadors

The CARICOM Youth Ambassador Programme was launched in Saint Lucia in 1993 by the Heads of Government to mark the Twentieth Anniversary of CARICOM and was formally instituted in 1994. Since its inception, the Youth Ambassador Programme has contributed to increased youth knowledge and awareness of CARICOM issues and priorities; has raised the profile of young people at the national and regional levels; and has assisted in integrating the views and perspectives of young people from across the Region into national, regional and international policy and programmes.

CARICOM Single Market and Economy

CSME stands for CARICOM Single Market & Economy.

The CSME Unit of the CARICOM Secretariat is the impementation office which assists the Member States in fulfilling the requirements of the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas.

Girls in ICT

International Girls in ICT Day, an initiative backed by all ITU Member States in ITU Plenipotentiary Resolution 70 (Rev. Dubai, 2018), aims to encourage and empower girls and young women to consider studies and car​eers in the growing field of ICTs,​ enabling both girls and technology companies to reap the benefits of greater female participation in the ICT sector.
