YOUTH TECHNICAL RESOURCE TEAM ON HIV/AIDS MEETS IN ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA

(CARICOM Secretariat, Georgetown, Guyana) Members of the Mini Grant Programme (MGP) Youth Technical Resource Team from six participating countries will meet at the Heritage Hotel in Antigua and Barbuda on 24-26, February, 2007 to review the draft MGP training/participant modules and handbook for trainers and youth workers in HIV/AIDS.

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) On February 22-23, 2007, Ministers of Trade of the following Central American countries - Republics of El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama - and the countries of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) met in Belize City to discuss bilateral trade relations among their countries and their experiences in international trade negotiations, including in the multilateral trade forum.

TRAVELLING CARIBBEAN FILM SHOWCASE TO BE LAUNCHED IN ST. KITTS AND NEVIS

The Caribbean region’s first travelling film showcase will be officially launched on Thursday, 22 February, 2007 at a ceremony to be held at the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank - the venue for the five-day showcase - in St. Kitts and Nevis. The Eighteenth Inter-Sessional Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) was held in Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, on 12-14 February 2007 under the Chairmanship of Dr. the Hon. Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Chairman of the Conference of Heads of Government.
