STATEMENT ON CRICKET

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) welcomes the news that the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) led by its President Dr Julian Hunte and the West Indies Players Association (WIPA), led by its President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Dinanath Ramnarine, have agreed to a Memorandum of Agreement resolving all but two of the outstanding issues between the two parties.

AGRICULTURE EXPERTS CALL FOR PARTNERSHIP WITH JOURNALISTS

CARICOM SUPPORTS HAITI THROUGH CAPACITY BUILDING

CARICOM STRENGTHENS INITIATIVES TO REDUCE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The Caribbean Community Secretariat is spearheading the development of a project that is expected to reduce the high incidence of violence against women in the Caribbean.

Funded under the CARICOM / Spain Cooperation Agreement, the two-year project seeks to develop a more coordinated and integrated approach to reducing Gender Based Violence (GBV) in the CARICOM region and will cost approximately US$252,000.
