Region working to eliminate hunger, malnutrition by 2030 – CARICOM Chair

he Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is taking steps to eliminate hunger and malnutrition by 2030, His Excellency Mohamed Irfaan Ali, Chairman of the Community and President of Guyana, announced on Sunday.

Delivering the feature address at the opening of the Forty-Sixth Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM which is currently underway in Georgetown, Guyana, the Chairman highlighted the “real work” the Region and its international development partners are undertaking to achieve this goal.

CARICOM on course to meet 25 by 2025 Food Security Initiative targets – PM Skerrit

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) remains on course to achieve the goals identified under the 25 by 2025 Initiative, Prime Minister of Dominica, the Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit said on Monday.

Prime Minister Skerrit, who is the outgoing Chairman of CARICOM, was at the time addressing the audience at the National Cultural Centre in Georgetown, Guyana, on Sunday, 25 February, for the opening ceremony of the 46th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM.
