Singapore has said it is happy to share its development experience with the Caribbean Community, as the country’s second Ambassador to CARICOM was accredited Wednesday. Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque accepted the Letters of Credence of Her Excellency Karen Tan, Plenipotentiary Representative of Singapore to CARICOM, at the Secretariat’s Headquarters in Georgetown Guyana. CARICOM saddened by loss of life after earthquake in Haiti

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is deeply saddened by the loss of life following the 5.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti on Sunday 7 October, 2018. At least 15 people were killed and more than 300 were injured.

In a message to Haiti President, His Excellency Jovenel Moise, CARICOM Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque extended condolences the families who lost loved ones.
