Twenty-three (23) young professionals from 13 CARICOM Member States are now better equipped to empower youth of the Region in navigating the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) following the completion of orientation and the first week of training of the CARICOM Young Professionals Programme (CYPP).

Students from the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of the University of Guyana toured the CARICOM Solar Photovoltaic Power Generation Plant on the grounds of the CARICOM Secretariat on Friday, 8 November.
The group was the first of four cohorts of tertiary-level students who will tour the Secretariat each Friday in November as part of the activities to observe CARICOM Energy Month 2024.

Statisticians from across the Region are in Guyana for a training programme on statistical data and metadata eXchange (SDMX). The workshop, hosted by the CARICOM Secretariat in collaboration with the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat), is being held at the Bureau of Statistics office in Georgetown. It began on Monday, 22 April, and will conclude on Friday, 26 April.
