Knowledge Hub launched for 47th CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana): The CARICOM Secretariat has launched an online knowledge hub to highlight key features and elements of the upcoming 47th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) which will take place from 3 – 5 July in Grenada.

It is a much anticipated and critical step in addressing the multifaceted crisis and facilitating the transition, through free and fair elections, toward a return to constitutional governance and restoration of lapsed institutions.

Human Resources for Health in the Caribbean in Focus at PAHO/WHO and Ministry of Health meeting in Trinidad

Caribbean rum producers to present 50th Anniversary Rum Blends to CARICOM governments

Caribbean rum producers will present specially developed 50th Anniversary Rum Blends to Caribbean Community (CARICOM) governments to honour the achievements of the Community over the past 50 years.

Producers in all rum producing CARICOM Member States, thirteen in total, which are also members of the West Indies Rum and Spirits Producers Association (WIRSPA ), will present their products to national governments during the month of June.

CARICOM DSG welcomes high-level Japanese officials for courtesy call

As the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and Japan continue to solidify relations particularly during the CARICOM-Japan Friendship Year 2024, Deputy Secretary-General, Dr Armstrong Alexis received a visit from Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, His Excellency Yasushi Hosaka, at the CARICOM Secretariat on 30 May 2024. 

During the exchange, the two sides discussed the follow-up to the Secretary General's visit to Japan earlier in the year for the launch of Japan-CARICOM Friendship Year 2024.
