Caribbean Examinations Council® (CXC®) Statement on the 2021 Regional Examinations

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – The Caribbean Examinations Council® (CXC®) is cognisant of the many challenges across the region at this time including the debilitating impact of COVID-19 on all areas of society, and all stakeholders operating within the education sector, coupled with the explosive volcanic activity on La Soufrière in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

CXC launches first interactive Mobile App

Forget walking with CXC certificates and hoping not to lose or crease them and forget not having your credentials when you bump into a potential employer on the street. With the new CXC Connect mobile app those days are gone.

The job landscape for millennials is going to look very different and the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) is seeking to be an efficient and effective tool for students who will be future employees and employers.

CARICOM, UN to strengthen cooperation at New York meeting

Cooperation between the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the United Nations (UN) System will be further strengthened around several issues including climate change, security, human development, health and education at the Ninth CARICOM-United Nations General Meeting this week.

The two-day meeting begins 20 July 2017 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. It is happening against the backdrop of a changing international environment, replete with uncertainty and complexity, and requiring greater collaboration.

CXC e-testing begins

The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) reported success as it officially launched its Electronic Testing Service to the region yesterday.

Some 500 candidates from seven countries – Jamaica, Grenada, Dominica, Cayman Islands, Anguilla, St Lucia and Montserrat and St Lucia – tested the online initiative which allowed students to use a computer or an electronic device to sit their Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Paper 1 (Multiple Choice) examination in more than 12 subjects.
