NEW YORK, CMC - A prominent St. Vincent and the Grenadines lawyer and former senator says he plans to take legal action against the New York Police Department (NYPD) following his arrest in the United States over the weekend. Ronald Marks told the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) that he was arrested late Sunday night in Brooklyn while viewing netball matches between Caribbean teams and meeting friends at the Lincoln Terrace Park in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York. “I’m a bit battered and bruised, but I’m alright,” said Marks, after he appeared in court Monday on charges of resisting arrest, attempted assault, being in a park after sunset and disorderly conduct.
