CDB Supporting Regional Education Transformation with Key Initiatives

GEORGE TOWN, Cayman: The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) has announced a series of key initiatives aimed at reshaping education systems across the region, as outlined by Acting President, Mr. Isaac Solomon at the Bank’s inaugural Regional Symposium and Policy Dialogue on Transforming Education currently underway in George Town, Cayman.   

CARICOM and Regional Organisations Convene Symposium to Address Transformation in Caribbean Education

The Regional Symposium and Policy Dialogue on Transforming Education will provide a platform for critical regional stakeholders to determine methods for transforming education delivery across the Caribbean. The event, which is scheduled from 2 to 4 October 2024 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in the Cayman Islands, will be hosted by the CARICOM Secretariat in collaboration with the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB/the Bank), the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission, and The University of the West Indies (UWI).

CARICOM Young Professional Programme to Enhance Youth Involvement in CSME Implementation 

CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana - Friday, 6 September 2024: Many Caribbean youth remain unaware of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) and its benefits to their lives and future prosperity. This is due to several issues, including the fact that the CSME is not adequately incorporated into educational curricula and limited engagement and interest from youth. These barriers hinder their potential for growth and advancement through regional integration.
