CASTRIES, St. Lucia, CMC – A former police officer was electrocuted at the Beausejour Cricket Ground (BCC) as cricket fans watched the Limacol Caribbean Premier League (CPL) match between the St Lucia Zouks and the Antigua Hawksbills Tuesday night.
Julian Agard, a former member of the St. Lucia youth Council, was pronounced dead at the medical centre, and the St. Lucia News Online website reported that not many people had noticed that he had been electrocuted near one of the stands.
Police are investigating the incident. The St. Lucia Zouks, skippered by the West Indies captain, Darren Sammy, lost the match by 33 runs
