Jan 17, 2015

Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis Dr. Denzil Douglas on Friday announced he had advised the Governor General to dissolve Parliament with immediate effect.

The Prime Minister’s announcement, made on the steps of Government Headquarters, followed an emergency sitting of Parliament on Friday which passed a resolution paving the way for the Governor General to sign a proclamation which  realigned the constituency boundaries.  The Prime Minister said an election date will be announced later.
