This Conference is most timely and its theme is appropriately expressive of the daunting prospects facing the Caribbean as it confronts several challenges and prepares for the epic Fifth Summit of the Americas to be held in Port-of-Spain Trinidad and Tobago, among others. The Summit is being planned and implemented as a CARICOM hosted event in Trinidad and Tobago.
