(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) - It is an honour to deliver remarks at this Colloquium to mark the Thirtieth Anniversary of the creation of the Association of Caribbean States.  The theme “Convergence and Cooperation in the Caribbean” is, to say the least, timely.   Not enough can be said, indeed, not enough can be done, to underscore the significance of cooperation in the fight for sustainable development in the Caribbean.

As one of our flagship events, the Caribbean Week of Agriculture is critical to increasing awareness of agriculture, food and nutrition security in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), and promoting investment in the Region’s food systems.

The 8th Caribbean Infrastructure Forum (CARIF) is a two-day event that brings together regional and global leaders involved in the planning, financing and construction of infrastructure and capital projects across the Caribbean.
