At Ethiopia Conference, SG focuses on concessionary financing, debt

The Community recognises that the challenges of development are deep-seated. Significant resources and appropriate and mutually reinforcing policies at national, regional and international levels are required to address the difficulties facing developing countries. CARICOM Member States, therefore, continue to maintain their commitment to regional integration as the platform for securing inclusive sustainable growth.

I am very honoured to be at the University of the West Indies.

I am delighted to see so many young people here and linked in via video.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Later today, I will sit down with CARICOM leaders.  But in many ways, it is fitting that I meet with you first.

I know you may be worried about the economy, about the job market, about the future.

I also know you are full of energy, ideas and solutions.

Address by Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis At the Opening Of The Thirty –Sixth Regular Meeting Of the   Conference Of Heads Of Government Of The Caribbean Community   Bridgetown, BARBADOS 2 JULY 2014

It is indeed a great pleasure and an honour for me to address this distinguished gathering on behalf of the people of St.Kitts and Nevis. A strong spirit of fraternity and kinship has been fostered among Caribbean leadership for more than four decades, especially among the tiny group of officials, technocrats, experts and academicians who frequent our Caricom Summits and meetings.
