SECRETARY-GENERAL LEADS TEAM TO DEMAS FUNERAL

Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretary-General Mr Edwin Carrington will lead the CARICOM Secretariat's representation at the official funeral for the Hon. William Demas TC, OCC in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago on Monday, 7 December 1998.

Included in the party is Assistant Secretary-General, Regional Trade and Economic Integration, Mr Byron Blake and three officers who worked closely with Mr Demas during his tenure as Secretary-General of CARICOM from 1973-74. They are Ms Marilyne Trotz, Ms Sheila Chan and Mr Rajpaul Singh.

Mr Demas died on Saturday 29 November 1998 at his home in Trinidad and Tobago.
