PROJET DE DECLARATION SUR HAÏTI
La Communauté Caribéenne (CARICOM) est profondément préoccupée par les manifestations violentes en Haïti, un État Membre de la Communauté.
Le Président de la CARICOM, le Très Honorable Andrew Holness, s'exprimant au nom de la Communauté, a déclaré : "La Communauté déplore les pertes en vies humaines, les dégâts matériels et les dommages causés aux infrastructures et appelle à la modération et la fin des manifestations et des actes de violence".
La Communauté note que les problèmes qui ont déclenché ces mouvements de protestation ne peuvent être résolus que dans un climat de calme. A cet égard, la Communauté se félicite des mesures prises pour désamorcer la situation.
Il a ajouté que la Communauté espère un retour rapide à la normalité et se réjouit, dans l’intérim, du soutien des Nations Unies pour suivre l’évolution de la situation.
