CASTRIES, St. Lucia, CMC-The Lucian People’s Movement (LPM), one of two opposition groups here is taking Prime Minister Kenny Anthony to task for stating that his government has delivered on an electoral promise to create thousands of jobs .
"Not only is this far from the truth but also that Dr. Anthony’s statement may well have been cleverly designed to lower the expectations of the people of Saint Lucia on the prospects of job creation by his government," says LPM Leader Theorld Prudent.
In his budget presentation Tuesday, Prime Minister Anthony claimed that since coming into power his Government had created in excess 2,500 jobs through short term employment programmes.
