Prime Minister attending ALBA Summit in Ecuador

CASTRIES, St. Lucia, CMC - Prime Minister Dr. Kenny Anthony leaves here for Ecuador to attend the XII Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP).
The meeting on Tuesday brings together heads of state or governments, with St. Lucia hoping to formalise its entry into the ALBA group in keeping with the announcement made by Governor General Dame Perlette Louisy earlier this year.
Dame Perlette told legislators that in order to survive in a changing global environment, the Kenny Anthony government has no choice but to widen its circles of solidarity and friendship to secure supports efforts to develop island.
