PM speaks at UN today

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad - Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar is to deliver remarks today at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. She will speak at the thematic debate on “The UN and Global Economic Governance”, a news release from the Office of the Prime Minister said. The  Prime Minister’s speech will be carried live on CNMG at approximately 9.30 a.m. and on Radio 90.1
Persad-Bissessar, left yesterday for New York and Washington, DC. She returns home April 21, and then leaves April 23, for Ottawa, Canada. In her absence, Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Dookeran is Acting Prime Minister.
Today at 10 a.m Dookeran will deliver the feature address on the topic ‘Sustainability and diversification of the Trinidad and Tobago Economy” at the 57th AGM of the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association (TTMA) at the Hyatt Regency, Port of Spain Ballroom . This evening at 6.30 p.m. he will deliver the feature address on “Keeping the right balance:enhancing destination sustainability through products, partnerships, profitability” at the Sustainable Tourism Conference also at the Hyatt.
