PM Douglas had busy morning session at Inter-Sessional in St. Vincent

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, MARCH 9TH 2014 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas has been actively participating in the 25th Inter-Sessional CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The St. Kitts and Nevis leader arrived at the Conference venue at 9:15 this morning.

“I had a video interview with Peter Richards of the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) just outside the conference hall before we started. I also had a meeting with the Hon. Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and CARICOM Chairman pertaining to my presentation on the Agenda at Plenary this morning,” said Prime Minister Douglas in a brief interview with the Communications Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister (CUOPM).

Prime Minister Douglas also had briefings with the new Director General of the OECS, His Excellency Dr. Didicas Jules, Ms. Bernard and Dr. Slater from the secretariat on the landmark presentation he will be making on Redefining Caribbean Education.

He also met with the Foreign Minister of Turkey, welcoming the Lead Legal Council working on the reparation initiative with Caricom, and greeting his fellow heads this morning before the opening ceremony.

PM Douglas will also be interviewed on Freedom 106.5 FM at 1.15 pm Today Monday
