Caribbean storms show urgency of rethinking aid for small island states

BAHAMAS-ECONOMY-Bahamas sign tax agreement with Czech Republic

NASSAU, Bahamas, CMC – The Bahamas says it has entered into an agreement on the Exchange of Information on Tax Matters (TIEA) with the Czech Republic, the second such accord to be signed with an Eastern European nation. “The Bahamas welcomes the conclusion of this agreement with Czech Republic, a fellow participant in the ongoing efforts to implement the international standards for financial services regulation and cross-border cooperation,” said the Minister of State for Finance Michael Halkitis.
