The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat launched the CARICOM State of Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) Implementation and Achievement Report, on Thursday, 24 October at the 16th Conference of Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP16) underway in Cali, Colombia.
Amrikha Singh, Programme Manager for Sustainable Development at the CARICOM Secretariat, participated in a forum on financing biodiversity conservation in infrastructure projects in Cali, Colombia on Wednesday 23 October. The event was held during the Conference of Parties to the UN Biodiversity Convention (COP16) which is underway in the South American nation.
The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is making significant strides towards enhancing ocean governance and sustainable management of marine resources. With the support of a £190,000 from the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (UK FCDO), the CARICOM Secretariat is embarking on a comprehensive initiative to develop a robust framework for sustainable ocean management.
