Albert Ramdin Elected OAS Secretary-General: A Historic Milestone for CARICOM

Working group established to advance maritime transportation arrangements

Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) have established an inter-governmental working group to advance arrangements to improve maritime transportation in the Region.

Senator the Hon. Dr. Amery Browne, Trinidad and Tobago’s Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, will head the working group which will include other ministers from Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Governance mechanisms of CARICOM need reform – Prime Minister Mottley

Chair of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), the Hon, Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados, said that there is need for reform of the governance mechanisms of CARICOM.

Prime Minister Mottley raised the issue of governance of the Region in her address to the opening of the 48th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM on Wednesday in Bridgetown, Barbados.
