ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada, CMC – New Zealand is proposing assistance to Caribbean countries in several areas including renewable energy, according to the special envoy of the Prime Minister of New Zealand, John Key. A brief Grenada government statement said that the envoy, Sir Don McKinnon met with Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell over the weekend as part of a “whirlwind Caribbean visit to meet with the leaders”. It said that “New Zealand is proposing assistance to Grenada and other Caribbean nations in areas such as the renewable energy sector and the provision of scholarship opportunities”.
