ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada, CMC - Legislative drafters from Caribbean Forum (CARIFORUM) countries meet here on Wednesday to discuss draft model bills intended to give effect to measures contained in the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) signed with the European Union in 2008.
The meeting is being organised by the Guyana-based EPA Implementing Unit within the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat and is in keeping with a mandate to assist CARIFORUM states in the implementation of the provisions of the accord.
The three-day event will be the third such meeting of legislative drafters on draft model bills under the CARIFORUM-EU EPA and is being funded under the Caribbean Aid for Trade and Regional Integration Trust Fund (CARTFund).
