Message of Condolence| Passing of Jules Wijdenbosch, former President of the Republic of Suriname

The Caribbean Community notes with sadness the passing of His Excellency Jules Albert Wijdenbosch, former President of Suriname, on 30 April 2025 who served as Chair of the Conference of Heads of Government from 1 January to 30 June 1999.

CARICOM extends condolences to the government and people of Suriname, his family members and all who mourn his loss.
