Jan 09, 2026

“Honourable Prime Minister,

On behalf of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), I convey heartfelt congratulations to the Government and People of Saint Lucia on the Country’s Forty-Fourth Anniversary of Independence.

The Government and People of Saint Lucia can reflect with pride on forty-four years of independence as a nation that have embodied the principles of peace, progress, and stability in a fractious world. The significant accomplishments of a small State in the face of daunting circumstances speak to the spirit, perseverance and strong work ethic that have come to define the People of Saint Lucia.

Honourable Prime Minister, the Community stands behind you and the People of Saint Lucia in your demonstrated commitment to regional integration. Also, we remain confident in the advancement of the Region’s goals in the crucial areas of Sustainable Development, Environment and Disaster Management, and Water under your distinguished leadership.

On the behalf of the Caribbean Community, I reaffirm our commitment to work alongside the Government and People of Saint Lucia in the pursuit of continued progress and greater achievement.

CARICOM is pleased to join you to celebrate your Forty-Fourth Anniversary of Independence and extends best wishes for the advancement of Saint Lucia.”
