But Andy Knight, director of the Institute of International Relations at UWI, St Augustine campus believes the repercussions would be minimal to this country. Gopee-Scoon, the Member of Parliament for Point Fortin and Knight views were sought in the face of military action being contemplated by the United States led coalition.
PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Guardian - T&T and Venezuela have reached a deal to jointly produce gas from fields located between the two countries, Venezuelan Energy Minister Rafael Ramirez said. According to a Prensa Latina report, Venezuelan state-owned oil giant Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) and Chevron Corp will produce the gas from unified offshore fields that contain nearly 12 trillian cubic feet of natural gas.

The recent statement and Cabinet reshuffle provides all the proof we need,” Rowley said in a statement yesterday.
PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Guardian - Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar yesterday promoted Gary Griffith, her former national security adviser, to the post of National Security Minister, “fired” two ministers and reshuffled and split the portfolios of several United National Congress (UNC) frontliners in her third Cabinet reshuffle. Griffith, who replaced Emmanuel George, former state board chairman Gerald Hadeed and one-time senator Raziah Ahmed will be brought into the Parliament as People’s Partnership (PP) senators.
