Legal Drafting E-Learning Programme

The Capacity Building in Legal Drafting Project, financed by the European Union under the European Development Fund-Caribbean Regional Indicative Programme (EDF-CRIP) and executed by ARCA Consortium, on behalf of the CARIFORUM Directorate, seeks to build the capacity of CARIFORUM States in the area of treaty and legislative drafting through training and sponsorship.

Accordingly, the Project imparted expert training in this area through an innovative MOOC e-learning programme that promoted learning through remote self-study and self-assessment. The Legal Drafting E-learning
Programme provided participants with the knowledge and skills needed to revise or develop legislation that will allow more effective implementation of the CARIFORUM-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA), a
comprehensive trade and development agreement between 15 CARIFORUM States and the European Union that covers trade in services and investment, trade in goods, competition, innovation and intellectual property, transparency in government procurement and cooperation.
