BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC - Jamaica will host the 8th Annual Caribbean Conference on Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM) in December, the executive director of the Barbados-based Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA), Ronald Jackson, has said. More than 400 delegates are expected to attend the December 2-6 conference which will be held under the theme “CDM for Resilient Development: A Good Investment”. The annual conference is the Caribbean’s premier event on disaster risk management. It is also regarded as the regional forum of the International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (ISDR) global platform.
