Jamaica pleased with trade mission to Dominican Republic

KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – The Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) says it is pleased with the outcome of a trade mission to the Dominican Republic earlier this month.
JAMPRO president, Diane Edwards, said as a result of the September 10-14 trade mission one local company had acquired a trial order to a large supermarket chain; while another reported securing a joint venture partnership deal with an industrialist for a manufacturing plant in the Dominican Republic.
She said also that one of the companies identified a distributor for its products in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and potentially Haiti.
