KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – American Courtney Tatar was among two people killed in a vehicular accident along the Bustamante Highway in Mineral Heights, Clarendon on Monday, police said. They said the 35 year-old from North Carolina and 36 year-old Christopher Burke of Clarendon died when the vehicle crashed into a truck. Both men were taken to the hospital where they died while four others have been hospitalised. The driver of the truck, Derrick Demster was among those hospitalised. Media reports said Demster was on his way to the capital after picking up the American in Denbigh while on his way from St Elizabeth.
