INVITATION | Opening Ceremony -Twenty-Eighth Regular Meeting of the Council for Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR)

(Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) - The Twenty-Eighth Regular Meeting of the Council for Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) will take place 8-9 May 2025. Saint Kitts and Nevis will assume chairmanship of the Council.

The Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Economic Development and Investment of Saint Kitts and Nevis will chair the meeting.

Over the two days, CARICOM Foreign Ministers are expected to discuss priority issues of regional and international interest, including the situation in Haiti, relations with Third States, candidatures, and developments in hemispheric and multilateral bodies. The Council will also engage with representatives of the governments of Mexico, the Philippines, Germany, and Portugal.

Dr. Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Economic Development and Investment of Saint Kitts and Nevis (incoming Chair); and Dr Carla Barnett, Secretary-General, CARICOM.
