PARAMARIBO, Suriname, CMC – Haiti’s President Michel Martelly is due here on Friday for talks with his Surinamese counterpart, Desi Bouterse as the two Caribbean Community (CARICOM) countries seek to deepen bilateral relations between them, according to an official statement issued here.
A statement from the Office of the President said that Martelly, who has already announced that he will visit the Dutch-speaking CARICOM country at the head of his Haiti’s delegation to the Caribbean Festival of Arts (CARIFESTA) in August, will discuss a wide range of issues during his two-day visit.
