Guyana and Trinidad engage in discussions on oil and gas support

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, CMC – The Guyana government says it has held talks with Trinidad and Tobago on the future development of the country’s oil and gas sector.
Natural Resources and the Environment Minister, Robert Persaud travelled to Port of Spain where he met with Trinidad and Tobago’s Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs Kevin Ramnarine “to further bilateral discussions” a government statement said.
It said as a result of the visit, a technical team will finalise a Memorandum of Cooperation between Guyana and Trinidad by the end of February to formalise training, support for the private sector and technical assistance”.
