CASTRIES, St. Lucia, CMC – Grenada will host a three-day workshop outlining the benefits, implications and opportunities of an Economic Union of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).
The St. Lucia-based OECS Secretariat said that the October 9-11 event being conducted by the  Regional Integration Unit (RIU) is specifically designed for middle and senior level officers representing ministries of labour, finance, trade, immigration planning, information, environment and small businesses from Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the host country.
The organisers said the workshop would cover communication and advocacy planning, key message development and spokesperson training. It will be supplemented with a full day of plenary sessions in which participants directly engage a high level technical team from the OECS Secretariat, to apply the knowledge in the context of Integration and the Economic Union.
