Grenada seeking Chinese help for housing

ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada, CMC – China has agreed to provide nearly four million EC dollars (One EC dollar = US$0.37 cents) to finance the final phase of a 350 housing programme across the island. An agreement has been signed between Housing Minister Delma Thomas and the Charge d’Affaires at the Chinese Embassy here, Chen Robio. “Immediately upon taking office in February as the Minister of Housing, one of my main and urgent goals was to ensure that scores of Grenadians get into those houses in the shortest possible time,” Thomas said, adding that she had contacted the Chinese embassy to help complete the project”.
