REMARKS | DR CARLA BARNETT | CARICOM SECRETARY GENERAL | OPENING SESSION | 49TH REGULAR MEETING | 7 July 2025

We have had a meaningful start to our Programme of Work for this 49th Regular Meeting, starting with the athletic prowess and community spirit demonstrated at the 18th CARICOM Road Race; the perspectives and cultural demonstrations of the Opening Ceremony; the technological advances highlighted at the Security Expo; and other important discourses in the margins of this Meeting, have cemented and celebrated our identity as a Region.
