Excellency,

Please allow me to congratulate you and the entire Caribbean Community on the 50th anniversary of the signing of the treaty of Chaguaramas, thus establishing CARICOM on 4 July 1973. I wish to express my sincere gratitude to you and the dedicated staff at CARICOM, for your invaluable support in promoting security through international police cooperation.

I cannot let this anniversary pass without recognizing the active international role that CARICOM plays in ensuring the security of its citizen within the Caribbean and beyond, through its dedicated implementing agency CARICOM IMPACS. The achievements that CARICOM has made over the last 50 years serve as proof of the power of cooperation and coordination.

It is also an honor for INTERPOL to celebrate Its centennial in the same year as CARICOM's 50th Anniversary and we look forward to strengthening our partnership even further in the years to come.
With renewed congratulations, please allow me to assure you of my highest esteem and of INTERPOL's full and continued support in all areas of international police cooperation.
