The Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration Workshop for the Caribbean was convened 1-2 November 2023 at the United Nations House, Bridgetown, Barbados. Representatives from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Caribbean, European Union (EU) International Partnerships and regional stakeholders met to further discuss the development of a Regional Migration Policy.
Regional stakeholders have made progress with the development of a Regional Migration Policy, the focus of a workshop on migration in the Caribbean, convened 1-3 November 2023 at the United Nations House, Bridgetown, Barbados.
Friday, 1 September 2023 (CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown): Developing a “Regional Approach” to migration was the focus of a two-day workshop (24-25 August 2023) facilitated by CARICOM in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Bridgetown, Barbados.
This project will upgrade labs in three countries and bring the testing required by local businesses wishing to export closer to home. Ultimately reducing production costs and increasing access to markets requiring the satisfaction of specified standards and tests.
The EPA & CSME Standby Facility for Capacity Building is a pool of funds being managed by CDB and financed by the EU for trade relation projects in 15 CARIFORUM countries. The financing is available to governments and business support organisations.
