COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING UNDERWAY

Ministers responsible for Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Affairs began meeting in Georgetown, Guyana today 11 June, 1999 at the Secretariat's Headquarters.

At this the Fourth Meeting of the Community Council of Ministers, the second highest decision-making forum of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Ministers will discuss a range of matters including measures to improve the functioning of the Secretariat.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL MINISTERS MEET IN GUYANA

Ministers of the Caribbean Community's second highest organ - The Community Council, will tomorrow begin a two-day meeting at the CARICOM Secretariat in Georgetown, Guyana.

Ministers will consider the draft Rules of Procedure for the Community Council, and are expected to adopt the final rules which will guide the Council in its future deliberations.
