CARICOM Secretary-General, Dr Carla Barnett, on 1 July, welcomed His Excellency Graybern Livingston Forbes, Ambassador of Colombia to the CARICOM Secretariat Headquarters in Georgetown, Guyana, where he presented his Letter of Credence.

In remarks, the Secretary-General stated “Your accreditation reflects the deep commitment and shared values that both CARICOM and Colombia place on our long-standing partnership. This is particularly important in these times of global uncertainty, which demand even greater collaboration between nations with mutual interests and developmental aspirations”.

The relationship between the Member States of the Caribbean Community and Colombia continues to thrive through high-level political engagement. The CARICOM-Colombia Triennial Ministerial process serves as a vital platform for political dialogue and for advancing joint initiatives.
