Remarks by Secretary-General Caribbean Community and Caribbean Forum of ACP States at the Opening of the Regional Civil Society Conference hosted by the Caribbean Policy Development Centre

Thank you for inviting me to be here with you this morning to share a few thoughts. I believe that it is the first time I have interacted with you but I am confident it will not be the last. May I congratulate you on the occasion of your 25th Anniversary and that milestone emphasises the relevance of your work.

 

CARICOM an untapped business resource

CARICOM and its treaty laws relating to economic integration are an untapped resource for civil society, including the regional business and banking sectors, Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) President Sir Dennis Byron, 71, says today as the court marks its tenth anniversary.

Organisation of American States OAS

The Organization of American States is the world’s oldest regional organization, dating back to the First International Conference of American States, held in Washington, D.C., from October 1889 to April 1890.
