Ashton Sweeting is a Bahamian economist and MSc Financial Economics candidate at Erasmus University Rotterdam. His professional experience spans the banking and financial services sector, with a focus on economic analysis, regulatory policy, and institutional development.

Ashton serves as a National Youth Ambassador to CARICOM, where his youth leadership and advocacy centre on financial inclusion, sustainable finance, and strengthening economic institutions in small island developing states.

He is particularly interested in fintech, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), and digital public infrastructure as tools to enhance regional financial resilience and support inclusive economic development across the Caribbean.
