CARICOM Secretariat launches Housing Protocol

Dec 28, 2017

The Office of the Deputy Secretary-General initiated the Launch of the CARICOM Secretariat Housing Protocol held on Thursday, 28 December 2017 at the CARICOM Secretariat’s Headquarters.  Those in attendance were landlords, property owners and real estate agents as well as the relative Secretariat Staff.

The Housing Protocol has been developed within the framework of the Senior Management Committee and provided to the Executive Management Committee.  The Protocol entails effective transparent and accountable processing, for which a Housing App has been developed by the Integrated Information Systems under the supervision of the Office of the Deputy Secretary-General.  This Housing App is to be used by the stakeholders to indicate the availability of houses, approvals and security checks, etc.  It is to create a win-win situation for those who have to rent and for the CARICOM Secretariat: less cost, more efficiency.
