CARICOM observers for the Bahamas elections

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen Greater Georgetown, Guyana) A 12-member Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Mission will observe the May 7 General Elections in The Bahamas.

The team will be drawn from ten Member States and the CARICOM Secretariat. The Core Team, comprising the Chief of Mission, Mr. Orrette Fisher Director of Elections, Jamaica; Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr. Gasper Jn. Baptiste, Deputy Chief Elections Officer, Saint Lucia, and the Secretariat staffers arrived in Nassau, The Bahamas, on 1 May. The other Observers will arrive on 3 May.

The Mission will depart The Bahamas on 9 May 2012.
