CARICOM congratulates The Bahamas on its forty-seventh Independence Anniversary

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) has congratulated the Government and People of The Bahamas on its forty-seventh Anniversary of Independence, on 10 July 2020.

CARICOM Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, in a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of The Bahamas, Dr. Hubert Minnis, also extended best wishes for the country’s continued growth and advancement.

“The theme of this year’s festivities, “Pressing Onward: A time of Hope, Triumph and Transformation”, is a unifying call for Bahamians in this exceptional period of challenges, to reflect on the successes of the past while using the lessons learned to chart a path to greater success for the country in the coming years,” the Secretary-General said.
