(CARIFORUM Directorate, CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) - The 11th European Development Fund Programme for Strengthening Climate Resilient Health Systems in the Caribbean came under review when the Programme’s Steering Committee met in Bridgetown, Barbados on 20 June 2025.
Executive Directors and other senior officials of Caribbean Community Institutions have updated Secretary-General Dr. Carla Barnett about the adverse effect of the current geopolitical developments on their ability to deliver essential services to the Region.

The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) and UNICEF Latin America and the Caribbean have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at reducing vulnerability and building resilience across the Caribbean region. CARICOM Secretary-General, Dr. Carla Barnett, delivered the keynote address Friday morning (14 April 2023) at the opening ceremony of a symposium to mark the 50th anniversary of the Caribbean Community being observed this year.
