Belize to host first ever Intra ACP global climate change conference

BELMOPAN, Belize, CMC – Belize will host the first ever first ever Intra-African Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Global Climate Change Alliance (GCCA) Programme Regional Technical Meeting (RTM) later this month. The Belize-based Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) said the main objective of the July 18-19 event is to raise interest in this global programme; establish thematic working groups in order to enhance networking and communication and facilitate exchange of information and expertise within the GCCA Intra-ACP Programme. It said that the outcomes of the RTM will benefit the discussions in the Second Programme Steering Committee meeting that will focus on programme implementation in the ACP regions among other issues.
